How you can help?
For all networks to grow and especially those looking to help people there needs to be a continuous push for each individual component to help another. In simpler terms, if the car doesnt have fuel the engine wont start and the wheels wont turn.
Naturally when people hear of a not for profit organisation or charity they think they are going to be asked to donate money. Whilst we do rely on private funding and donations, this isnt the only way you can help.
Our tagline of superhero without capes refers to the many wonderful souls who are donating their time, expertise and knowledge to help us help others. We understand not everyone can donate money but everyone has their own unique set of skills which brings with it a special power and personal touch. We are asking you to share these super powers, join the league and become superheroes without a cape.
For example, if time is an issue then please follow our journey on Facebook so you can like or share posts or come along to one of our events. Please do not downplay your abilities because we are all capable of greatness in some small way or in some big way.
Whatever your education, job, or time restrictions, we are looking for others to join us and grow our team of superheroes without capes. In a world awash with so many negatives we are giving people a chance to shine many, many positives back out.
As part of our ongoing commitment to health and well-being, we also run campaigns to assist International students in Australia. Helping Ujwal (an International student from Nepal) fight cancer and survive is one of our biggest success stories to date. It has inspired us to do even more for the international youth who are away from their families and homes who often feel exposed and vulnerable in a new land.
We would like everyone to remember that nobody ever plans on being diagnosed with cancer and if it were you or a loved one, were sure you would like to be able to reach out for help and have it given by a caring organisation like the one you are reading about now.
We as an organisation are ran by passionate people believe every life is precious and together we can make a difference. We are currently working in Brisbane and Melbourne but have the vision to spread ourselves Australia-wide.
After all, no matter our colour or ethnicity we are all part of one race, the human race.
