Our Mission
‘Simply Human – Superheroes Without Capes’ knows that when an uncertain and unfortunate situation like cancer strikes, especially when people are away from loved ones, it makes life even more challenging.
- Create and maintain a league of ‘superheroes without capes’ (volunteers) consisting of doctors, nurses, lawyers, students, financial advisors, event organisers and other likeminded souls to collectively and positively impact upon people’s lives.
- Empower and educate youth and have them involved in the fight against cancer and in spreading awareness. We will engage a channel partner who will assist us in the delivery of seminars by speaking to, or help us organise, each event to discuss advice on immigration policies along with other useful information. As part of this strategy, ‘Simply Human Inc.’ will also offer internship and ambassador programs to provide a pathway to a brighter future for international students.
- Organise financial, emotional and advisory support for patients and their families using the network of volunteers and other resources available to the organisation.
- Encourage more people to register in the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (ABMDR) to increase the probability of finding donor matches locally. http://www.abmdr.org.au/ . This is to be achieved via an ongoing awareness drive through a mixture of educational seminar sessions and special events.
- Organise access to the bone marrow transplant registry to ensure as easy a process as possible for those needing access to it.
- Raise awareness of leukemia, bone marrow transplant and stem cell storage through our online presence inclusive of social media and other platforms to inform and educate others through a non-aggressive approach.
